In timed auctions, every second counts. That’s why we’ve introduced a quick bidding feature, allowing you to place bids directly from the auction catalogue page as soon as you're approved. This feature is designed to help you act fast and secure the items you want without navigating away from the catalogue.
Whether you prefer list or grid view, you can easily place your bids without missing a beat, ensuring you stay ahead of the competition in those crucial moments.
How Quick Bidding Works
1. Enter Your Max Bid: After entering your maximum bid amount, a confirmation pop-up will appear. This pop-up allows you to review the full lot description and double-check your bid amount before proceeding.
2. Confirm or Cancel:
-
- Cancel: If you need to make changes, simply click 'Cancel' to close the pop-up without placing a bid.
- Confirm: Clicking 'Confirm' will place your bid.
3. Bid is submitted
Successfully placed: If the bid is successfully placed, the pop-up will close automatically, and you'll see a "leading" label on the lot, along with a temporary message confirming your bid.
Error placing: If your bid can't be placed (e.g., if it’s below the minimum required bid or not on the correct increment), you’ll receive a notification with instructions on how to adjust your bid.
You can still place bids directly on the lot page as usual if you prefer, rather than the above method.
Please note:
- Quick Bidding is currently only available on Timed auctions.
- You will not see the Quick Bidding format on Live auctions or search results pages.
- You will not be able to see Quick Bidding until you are approved for the auction.
