Why is there a 10p transaction on my card?

When you add your card to bidspotter.co.uk our payment card provider performs a check with your bank to ensure the card added is legitimate, by freezing 10p on your account. 

Rest assured this is not debited - it's just held - so you may notice it on the day you added the card, but you will not see it on your bank statement.

The reason we ask you to add a card to the site is to match your card and address details against each other to verify your identity and to protect us and our auctioneers from theft and fraud. Some auctioneers use our secure online payment method which allows you to pay quickly and easily without sharing any of your financial information. 

Sometimes your bank may contact you to confirm that you have rightfully added your card to our site as part of their security and fraud checks.
